The only thing I saw of Milano was the train station and it was very impressive. The train trip up through the mountains was beautiful and the lake districts of northern Italy are breathtaking. But I want to know someone with a yacht. It was the same in Venezia in that travelling in water taxi/buses there is just like catching the ferry to Manly. Kind of ho hum really. You want to zoom around on a fancy high powered jet or on a luxury 40ft sailing boat to really have some fun. As the mountains got higher the football fields started to disappear and smaller sports like tennis, volley ball and of course, mountain bike racing became the norm. photos from the train were a little bit of a pointless exercise but hey. I didn't take the one of the lakes but needed some water after all this talk about boats.
