TINTIN

I started watching a program on Baroque art intending to learn a bit about Diego Velázquez, Las Meninas, and framing theory. Anyway, as they started to discuss Rubens I discovered Spain's involvement with Belgium through his fleshy disturbing paintings. Hergé who wrote Tintin is a hero of Belgium. I was also watching another program about Belgium exiting the Congo and their involvement with the Rwandan genocide. I'm sure the movie will not be as gruesome as this stuff although it is true that Hergé wrote many of his stories around the colonising and exploratory exploits of Europe at the start of the twentieth century. It's gonna be a cracker!
